Philanthropy
The Exchange Club of Aurora raises money throughout the year by conducting a variety of projects and activities. The proceeds of these activities are divided among various agencies that have missions consistent with the mission and purpose of Exchange.
In 1998, $8,250 was donated to the following organizations: VNA/Healthy Families, Family Counseling Services, Lifespring Ministry, Family Support Center, CASA, and National Exchange Foundation.
In 1999, $10,000 to Family Support Center, VNA, Friends of Child Advocacy, YWCA, Family Counseling Center, CASA and Lifespring Ministry.
Philanthropy 2000
In 2000, $12,850 was donated to the following agencies:
Aurora Public Library - Sponsor the summer reading club
Family Support Center - For the family nutrition program for at-risk families and Project Safe families
CASA Kane County - Purchase training and reference material for volunteer advocates
Family Counseling Service - Hispanic batterers treatment program
Friends of Child Advocacy - Crisis counseling program for sexually abused children
Lifespring Ministry - Residential rehabilitation program for homeless women and children
Mutual Ground - Domestic violence and sexual abuse program

Teen Care
Week Without Violence
IMSA
In addition, $1,950 was donated to purchase eye exams
and glasses for low income elementary and middle school aged children
and $2,800 was given in college scholarships to Aurora area high school
students.
